Walking Rio takes visitors and locals along the beaches of Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana and Leme. The walk covers 10km, welcoming all ages and abilities; the idea is everyone moves at their own pace enjoying nature, the ambience and quality of life.

The Rio Half Marathon invites sporty men and women to jog through beautiful Rio de Janeiro. The route follows the shoreline from Sao Conrado to Flamengo, through Ipanema and Copacabana – the views are surely an inspiration to the runners.

Venues in Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana host music, dance, theatre and poetry for the Carnival of Cultures (Carnaval das Culturas). The event takes in art, gastronomy, environment and literary exhibitions before rounding off with a parade along Avenida Atlântica.

The Rio Industrial Week 2010 will be organized between August 4th and 7th and promises to shake up the industrial sector in the southeast part of the country. Here, four distinct events will be held, as follows:
