The Saint Sebastian Race, or a corrida de São Sebastião, is a traditional 10km race that celebrates Rio’s patron saint. The first five women and men to cross the finishing line are rewarded with a trophy or prizes.

The Rio Half Marathon invites sporty men and women to jog through beautiful Rio de Janeiro. The route follows the shoreline from Sao Conrado to Flamengo, through Ipanema and Copacabana – the views are surely an inspiration to the runners.

The Rio Marathon will be organized on June 17th and will start at Recreio, passing through Barra, Sao Conrado, the wonderful beaches of Ipanema, Leblon, and crossing the line in Flamengo. It is considered by many to feature the most beautiful route in the entire world.

The Sain Sebastian Race is organized once per year and in 2011 it is scheduled for January 20th, starting at 9 A.M.
